So, obviously I've not posted in a while and a lot has happened. To start with, a major event is/was my grandma died in September. It's been hard!! We knew it was coming but still. It's for the best, and she's where she wants to be and not hurting so that's the main thing.
Second, we've moved~next door! We're TRYING to buy my grandma's house. We currently live in it and have for 2 1/2 mths but have yet to be able to get a loan on it. We're going to try to wait until our house sells to try again with a loan. It's all in God's time!! The kids did well with the move and LOVE the new house. This is the only house Jadyn will ever remember. That's ok though. We all LOVE the space (even though it's more than what we really need) and the most important fact-that it is/was grandma and grandpa's house.
Skyler is now 5! Time has flown!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a swim party here for him and he had a ball. It was so nice to have all the family here. We've started homeschooling. He's done really well for the most part. Because of grandma we hadn't/haven't schooled as much as we should or I would have like but it's ok. He's still doing alright-we're getting there. I love the group, however he's struggling some with it. It's new people and new place and it's scary for him. He can walk up to any kid (any age) or any adult and play/talk with them but go to group and it's another story. Hopefully he will get there. I don't worry to much about interaction and socialization with him b/c of the teenagers/youth group. He LOVES hanging with the big kids. In a sense he's more mature than some of the kids there at the group b/c of that reason (being with adults and older kids all the time). Skyler loves his sister (especially aggravating her-although it goes both ways) and loves to help (sometimes to much also). He's totally awesome though!
Jadyn is now 8 months old. Wow, where did time go? It doesn't seem like it's been that long ago that we got her. She's crawling around (her little crawl/scoot thing), she's cruising and trying her best to stand on her own and walk. It won't be long I know. She's saying and has been since about 4 1/2 to 5 months Mama, Dada and tries to say Bubba. She's eating some regular food (homemade baby food that is). She's extremely handsy and into EVERYTHING. She is a mama's girl but also a daddy's girl for sure. She loves her aunts and uncles and especially her mi-ma and papa. She's a talker (very loud) and is and angel with an attitude- to say the least. =) She's wonderful though.
Chris is doing well. Staying busy with work and with trying to finish getting the other house ready to sell and the projects that are left here at the new house. Although that has all stalled due to him cutting his fingers with the table saw. A board kicked back and almost cut it off. It's healing well but can't really do anything yet for another month so that stalled everything!! We're very fortunate and blessed to still have fingers though.
I'm enjoying being a mommy and wife everyday. Although I get frustrated and aggrivated with Skyler sometimes, it's still awesome and wonderful! I love homeschooling him also. It's so fun to watch him learn new stuff and get it. Besides having him here with me and sister. I stay busy with everything going on but I LOVE my life!!
I will update more soon I hope. But that's been our life in a nutshell lately.
